Promoting women farmers through National Food Security Mission

The National Food Security Mission aims to increase production of rice, wheat and pulses through area expansion and productivity enhancement in a sustainable manner. The aim is to bridge the yield gap in respect of these crops through dissemination of improved technologies and farm management practices. At least 30% allocation of the fund is to be made for women farmers.
